These terms apply when you use opendocxfile.com (the “site”) and its DOCX viewer (the “tool”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. The service
OpenDocxFile is a free online viewer for Word files. The tool runs in your browser and opens files on your own device. It lets you read, zoom, copy, print and save documents as PDF. It does not let you edit files.
2. Your files
Your files stay on your device. We don’t receive, store or check them. You are responsible for the files you open, and for making sure you have the right to use them.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for anything illegal
- Try to break, overload or get around the security of the site
- Copy large parts of the site’s content or design without our permission
- Use automated tools to send large numbers of requests to the site
4. No warranty
The site and the tool are provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to show documents correctly, but we can’t promise that every file will open or look exactly as it does in Microsoft Word. Some fonts, charts and special layouts may look different.
For legal, official or important documents, always check the original file in the program it was made with.
5. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using, or not being able to use, the site or the tool. This includes lost data, lost income or any indirect loss.
6. Intellectual property
The site’s design, text and logo belong to OpenDocxFile. The viewer uses open-source software, including docx-preview (Apache License 2.0) and JSZip (MIT License). Those parts remain under their own licenses.
Microsoft Word is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Other product names on this site belong to their owners.
7. Links to other websites
The site may link to other websites. We don’t control them and are not responsible for their content or services.
8. Changes
We may change the site, the tool or these terms at any time. When we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
